WLA School Library Summit
Calling all school library professionals! At the 2017 WLA Conference, we’re excited to offer a School Library Summit on Saturday, November 4 from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
This is OUR annual conference. While there is programming relevant to school libraries throughout the entire WLA Conference, the Summit is a “conference-within-a-conference” with programs hyper-focused on school libraries. Look out for several traditional WLMA sessions alongside new, current topics in our Summit programming. Don’t miss the keynotes from Carl T. Bergstrom and Jevin D. West, creators of the viral “Calling BS in the Age of Big Data” course at UW, and Coe Booth, the winner of the 2017 Sasquatch Book Award.
Attendees may freely move in and out of the Summit to attend any regular conference sessions of interest. If unable to attend the entire WLA Conference, one-day registration for Saturday is available. The full conference runs November 1 – 4, with Preconference workshops on Nov 1. This year’s theme is Libraries Through the Looking-Glass.
Don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of figuring out clock hours? Antioch University Seattle makes it easy, and will be at the event!
