The Washington Library Association awards an annual scholarship(s) to WLA member attending any accredited library school who will have completed at least 12 credits by April 1, 2009. Applicants are judged based on demonstrated potential for leadership in the profession; experience in community activities, volunteering, professional associations, or work involving libraries; academic achievement.  The applications process opens on November 1 and closes on Friday, January 2. Interviews will be held at the University of Washington on Friday February, 20 (in person interviews preferred). The winner(s) receive a conference grant and will be honored at the 2009 WLA Conference, April 15-18, Spokane, WA
