All WALE and WLA members who have never attended a WLA conference are eligible for a 2009 WLA conference grant. Applicants are judged based on need for this grant in terms of your professional development, your commitment to the profession, and financial need.  

The application process opens on November 1 - January 20. There will be no in person interviews, applicants will be notified after February 20.

The Washington Library Association awards an annual scholarship(s) to WLA member attending any accredited library school who will have completed at least 12 credits by April 1, 2009. Applicants are judged based on demonstrated potential for leadership in the profession; experience in community activities, volunteering, professional associations, or work involving libraries; academic achievement.  The applications process opens on November 1 and closes on Friday, January 2. Interviews will be held at the University of Washington on Friday February, 20 (in person interviews preferred). The winner(s) receive a conference grant and will be honored at the 2009 WLA Conference, April 15-18, Spokane, WA
